One of the key roles supporting Port Authority of New South Wales' vision is to protect the environment and have regard to the interests of the community. We are committed to working with our stakeholders and local communities to minimise the impacts of port operations. We work together with and support local communities as a part of our commitment to being a good neighbour. A range of initiatives are in place to achieve this, including the establishment of consultative committees and liaison groups and investment in the upgrade of local facilities.
Port Authority of New South Wales has a key role to manage and develop port facilities and services to cater for existing and future trade needs. As a corporation we continually evaluate the ability of port facilities to handle current trade needs and strategically plan for the future. Planning for future trade needs involves developing land, acquiring strategic assets and enhancing current assets.
