ROI for VTS System vendors or consortia

A Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) provides active monitoring and navigational advice for vessels in particularly confined and busy waterways with complex traffic movements.

The contract is for the design, supply, implementation and maintenance support of the new VTS system, which will be operated by Sydney VTS from a new purpose built VTS centre in Port Botany.

Registration of Interest will need to be submitted in accordance with the requirements of the invitation document.

Registrations close on Friday, 30 May 2008 and shortlisted applicants will be invited to submit tenders in the fourth quarter of 2008.

The VTS system is to be commissioned and fully operational within the first quarter of 2010.
