Pilot Service

From 26 October 2002, Sydney Pilot Service (SPS), a wholly-owned subsidiary company of Sydney Ports Corporation, commenced providing pilotage services in the ports of Sydney Harbour and Botany Bay.

Pilotage is compulsory for vessels of 30 metres or more in length and services are offered round-the-clock. Bookings can be made by an authorised shipping agent through the Sydney Ports Integrated Port System (ShIPS).
