Project Update

Welcome to the ILC at Enfield Project update page.

• The Enfield Workshop Sidings (also referred to as the Wheel Lathe rail corridor) works were completed on 25 August 2009 and has commenced operations.
  
• The demolition of all existing site infrastructure is nearing completion. The south sidings rail lines will be removed in 2010.
• Following approval of the Remediation Action Plan in July 2009, the majority of the remediation and validation works have now been completed and accepted by the Site Auditor.
• The remaining site preparation works are being carried out in 2010. These works include various electrical works and the relocation of heritage structures.
  
  
• Tenders for main construction of Base Infrastructure are being evaluated. These works are expected to commence in 2010.
