The project approval with conditions granted on 5 September 2007 was based on the Environmental Assessment developed by Sydney Ports and subsequent documents which are:

Application for development-December 2005
Preferred Project Report - June 2006
Project Changes 14 July 2007 and Light Industrial and Commercial Area 6 august 2007

Sydney Ports consulted extensively with the community during preparation of the environmental assessment for the development. This included community briefings, open days and newsletters distributed throughout the local area.

The Road Transport Coordination Group (RTCG), required under the conditions of consent has been established with representatives from Strathfield Municipal Council, Bankstown City Council, Roads and Traffic Authority of New South Wales and NSW Department of Planning.

The second meeting of the RTCG was held on Wednesday 6 August 2008. Please click here to view the RTCG minutes. The group endorsed the Terms of Reference (TOR) for the RTCG at the initial meeting. There is a commitment to establish a Community Liaison Group to work with Sydney Ports during the construction and operation of the project.
