Clean Up Australia Day

Following the success of last year’s Business Clean up Australia day event, Sydney Ports staff once again participated in this year’s campaign at Yarra Bay Bicentennial Park and beach, which are located near Port Botany.

There were around 50 participants at this year’s event including a team from Baulderstone, our Port Botany Expansion contractors.

The day was a great success with participants managing to collect a total of 50+ bags of rubbish and recyclables weighing about 180kg, most of which would have eventually ended up in Botany Bay.

A key goal of this event was to provide an enjoyable way to interact with the community and reinforce Sydney Ports’ commitment to helping reduce pollution to the local environment.
