On 28 October, the NSW Government called for expressions of interest to appoint a financial adviser(s) for the proposed long-term lease of Port Botany.

Container trade through Port Botany increased by 4.1 per cent in September 2011 compared to the same month last year, reaching over 180,700 TEU.
