GIPA is the instrument that provides for the release of certain information held by government departments and agencies to the public. Sydney Ports already provides a broad range of information that may be of interest to members of the public on this website which can be easily located by conducting a search of this site.
From 1 July 2010, GIPA replaces the Freedom of Information Act 1989 (NSW). GIPA provides mechanisms for members of the public to access information held by government departments including:

Any person may make a request for information through the Sydney Ports' general enquiries email address enquiries@sydneyports.com.au.
Sydney Ports will assess the request and a decision will be made whether to provide the requested information.
If information is not provided in response to an Informal Request, applicants have the right to make a formal Access Application.
You can also make an Access Application for information held by Sydney Ports. An Access Application is a formal application under GIPA for information held by a government agency that can be made by any member of the public. There is a $30 application fee that must be paid when an Access Application is lodged with an agency.
