Purpose of the group

The Liaison Group is a consultation and communication forum. The discussions allow the local community and other stakeholders to participate and communicate about the activities at the port. The group is designed to provide a forum for:

• Information exchange and discussion on port operations and activities at Glebe Island/White Bay.
• Discussion and development of mutually satisfactory solutions concerning environmental impacts of activities at the port, consistent with the objectives of operating a commercially viable port.
• Information and discussion on port lessee activities.
• Local residents to provide information about local issues.
